Ka-zoo-mee thinks its bullshit.
Of course, Ka-zoo-mee is talking about the new Gran Turismo 4 news, and how it's got a set release date now. Neither Ka-zoo-mee nor I believe a word of it. We've become far too cynical about GT4, Sony, and release dates that don't follow through. Games like Galaxies and Forza have defeated my ability to get hyped up, for the sting of denial is a painful one. No, we're sure it won't come out any time soon, for the sake of our own mental health.
Despite this, I can't help but get somewhat excited at the most definite date we've seen for the game yet. The thought of driving on Sony's interpretation of the Nurburgring, as well as the idea of running a rallycross course around the Grand Canyon in my favorite WRC car, makes my pulse quicken and my palms sweat. Gran Turismo 4 is in a league unto itself within the racing genre, with its singular kind of fun and replay value.
Ah, dammit. Now I've gone and gotten all excited again.
